Help participants share transportation via informal arrangements between individuals, formally arranged ridesharing programs, or other ride-matching services

Build assets through child development accounts (CDAs) with contributions from a sponsoring organization, such as government agencies or nonprofits, and family, friends; also called children’s savings accounts (CSAs)

Provide education on basic budgeting, bank use, credit management, bankruptcy, credit building and counseling, homeownership, retirement, divorce, etc.

Offer loan repayment, tuition assistance, competitive academic salaries, etc. to students who teach in nursing programs after completing an advanced degree

Provide outreach and support to assist those whose employers do not offer affordable coverage, who are self-employed, or who are unemployed

Inform parents about lead exposure pathways and cleaning and hygiene techniques and undertake minor repairs or specialized cleaning

Facilitate mediation between tenants and landlords to resolve conflict and prevent eviction

Support a four-tiered approach to indoor pest control that minimizes potential hazards to people, property, and the environment

Return the rights to land, property, and resources to Native people as part of policies and initiatives that promote tribal sovereignty

Pair new nurses with more experienced nurses who act as a resource and provide support as the new nurse establishes her or himself professionally

Implement programs that continue education, mentoring, and support for novice nurses following graduation

Provide women with information about the risks and benefits of behaviors that affect their health before, during, and after pregnancy

Expand medical school training and learning experiences focused on the skills necessary to practice successfully in rural areas

Promote walking and biking to school through education, incentives, and environmental changes; often called SRTS

Provide sealants, fluoride treatment, screening, and other preventive dental care on school grounds via partnerships with dental professionals

Provide health care services on school premises to attending elementary, middle, and high school students; physical and mental health services provided by teams of nurses, nurse practitioners, and physicians

Provide permanent, basic rental housing with social services available on-site or by referral, usually for families with low incomes, older adults, veterans, or people with disabilities

Create designated tax districts that generate revenue to invest in affordable housing initiatives, blight remediation, and economic development efforts

Arrange active transportation with a fixed route, designated stops, and pick up times when children can walk to school with adult chaperones
