Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, social isolation has emerged as a public health crisis and deepened health inequities. Join us along with Risa Wilkerson, executive director of Healthy Places by Design, as we explore the developing research behind the health benefits of strong social connectedness. We will also examine the policies and systems that can keep people isolated. Edward Garcia, founder and executive director of the Foundation for Social Connection, will introduce us to a framework that communities can use to reduce social isolation. Webinar participants will learn actionable steps to foster a socially connected community where all residents feel valued, included and safe.

County Health Rankings & Roadmaps will host a one-hour interactive virtual discussion at 4pm ET, immediately following the webinar. We encourage you to participate in an engaging dialogue with peers across the country to share your experiences with equity. Mark your calendars and plan to stay as long as you're able.
