Creating opportunities for everyone to be healthy also means making sure everyone’s voices can be heard. Creating multi-lingual spaces where everyone can communicate, understand, and be understood in the language in which they prefer is part of language justice.  Implementing strategies and practices that promote language justice is a key component to building inclusive, equitable and sustainable communities. This webinar features two guests who will share a variety of experiences, perspectives, and insights around how language intersects with their efforts to improve health and equity.

•    Diana Lieu, with The Praxis Project will introduce the Language Justice Toolkit, a collection of specific, practical strategies for organizations and individuals who are committed to build-ing powerful multilingual spaces in their own workplaces and communities.
•    Eudelia Contreras from Lake County, CO, a 2019 Culture of Health Prize winner, will share her experience working with several organizations to bring language justice to the community.

County Health Rankings & Roadmaps will host a one-hour interactive virtual discussion at 4pm ET, immediately following the webinar. We encourage you to participate in an engaging dialogue with peers across the country to share your experiences with language justice. Mark your calendars and plan to stay as long as you're able!
