Mortality and Life Expectancy Calculator
This tool was developed by County Health Rankings & Roadmaps as a way to allow users to more actively engage with their own data. The goals of this tool are to give users an easy-to-use template for calculating the same mortality metrics we use on our website, and to give advanced users a template for how to complete the background calculations needed for life expectancy.
National Organizations with Local Connections
These groups may have deep connections in your community. Additionally, many of these networks will have resources that help you think about building your own network.
Racial Equity Impact Assessment
A Racial Equity Impact Assessment (REIA) examines how different racial and ethnic groups will likely be affected by a proposed action or decision. REIAs are used to minimize unanticipated adverse consequences in a variety of contexts, including the analysis of proposed policies, institutional practices, programs, plans and budgetary decisions.
County Health Rankings Model
This model of population health emphasizes the many factors that, if improved, can help make communities healthier places to live, learn, work and play.
Health Gaps Report Discussion Guide
We introduced the Health Gaps Discussion Guide (CHR&R) in 2015 with our original state health gaps reports. The guide continues to offer important considerations and tips on how to bring together diverse stakeholders to continue a conversation on health gaps, and how to create a safe space for dialogue.
Readiness Assessment-Collective Impact
This readiness assessment (from Collective Impact Forum) is designed to a help groups consider whether the collective impact approach is right for their social issue and whether the conditions are in place for the initiative to succeed.
