Date & time:

What have communities learned about how place matters and creating conditions in communities for residents to thrive?

In this May webinar, County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R) will highlight communities that have used our data, evidence, and guidance over many years to support their work improving health locally. We will take a deeper dive into what they have learned over this time about what is needed to create health and equity in communities.

We will be joined by guests from three of these communities to share their experiences and successes in creating conditions for residents to live longer and healthier lives:

•    United Way of Central Alabama in Jefferson County will share the health equity guide their partnership created as well as what drove them to begin this process.

•    Blair County Community Action Program in Pennsylvania will share how their Housing First paradigm is positioning their organization to better serve residents at risk for homelessness in Blair County, including veterans and people living with addiction.

•    LiveWell Greenville in South Carolina will share their advocacy efforts related to transit policy and funding in Greenville.

Interested in learning more about these communities? You can hear more about Jefferson County, Alabama’s innovative work advancing health equity through strategic partnerships; Blair County, Pennsylvania’s journey to create pathways to opportunity for youth and young adults; and Greenville County, South Carolina’s efforts to effectively and efficiently measure impact on social and economic factors that drive health.
