Teleconference: How Healthy Is Your County?

Join us for a teleconference on Tuesday, April 3 from 10-11 a.m. ET as we release the 2012 County Health Rankings. Ranking the health of nearly every county in the nation, the County Health Rankings illustrate what we know when it comes to what’s making people sick or healthy. The County Health Roadmaps show what we can do to create healthier places to live, learn, work and play. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) collaborates with the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute (UWPHI) to bring this groundbreaking program to cities, counties and states across the nation.

• How counties measure up within each state in terms of how healthy people are and how long they live
• How we can make it easier for people to be healthy in their own communities by addressing specific factors that we know affect health, such as education and income
• Action that has taken place in Hernando, MS, and other communities across the country in response to the County Health Rankings
• New efforts to build connections with local communities, national partners and leaders across all sectors to improve health through the County Health Roadmaps
