The County Health Rankings & Roadmaps has the following job openings:

Assistant Director of the Action Center
Serving as a key member of the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R) team, a collaboration with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation at the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, the Assistant Director of the Action Center will work closely with the Action Center Director to develop and lead an expansion of the community engagement component of this national project. The team is currently growing from four Community Coaches based in Madison to ten coaches, with six Regional Community Coaches located throughout the nation.

Community coaching builds capacity in local communities to advance work addressing the multiple factors that influence health. The Assistant Director will lead work to enhance the coaches’ ability to effectively deliver these services and will directly supervise the Regional Coaches. 

This full-time position, based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, requires a master’s degree with an emphasis in public health, public policy, community development or related field preferred. Prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Travel throughout the US will be a required.

Assistant Director, Community Network Building
Serving as a key member of the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R) team, a collaboration with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation at the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, the Assistant Director of Community Network Building will work with the Program Co-Director and collaborative partners to develop and expand community networks as part of this national program.

This position will focus on building relationships with and supporting national partners who are committed to building a Culture of Health. Current partners include the National Association of Counties and United Way Worldwide with others to be added in 2015. In addition to serving as a content expert for national partners, this position will identify opportunities to share stories of effective community work and enhance content of the Roadmaps to Health Action Center. 

This full-time position, based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, requires a master’s degree with an emphasis in public health, public policy, community development or related field preferred. Prior experience working with national organizations is strongly preferred. Travel throughout the US will be required.
