We know that the months ahead include uncertainty and challenge. We are grateful to be in this work with you.
Here are some of the exciting resources and tools CHR&R created in 2024 to support communities. And stay tuned — we’re introducing a new model of health this year!

Data
We released national, state and county-level data for 85 measures related to health in our 2024 Annual Data Release.
The data are now available in the ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World. We also improved our Compare Counties tool and changed our approach to offer data-informed groupings.

Webinar
Our monthly webinars covered topics from ways to support healthy aging to public health alternatives to policing and incarceration.

What Works for Health
We updated 52 and added nine new policies and programs to our What Works for Health database, including evidence-informed strategies such as community-based doulas, fentanyl test strip distribution programs and PFAS regulations.

Podcast
We released two new series on civic education and public health's political, powerful roots in organizing. Our most popular episode featured Citizen University CEO Eric Liu on embracing power and education for civic health.

County snapshots and national datasets were among the most popular resources. Visitors also checked out the 2024 National Findings Report, highlighting the connections between civic participation and health.

Narratives for Health
We trained over 100 people on the power of narrative at our cohorts and workshops and introduced more than 300 people to public health narratives at our orientation presentations.
