Adding an AI-powered tool for health strategies
What Works for Health (WWFH) is a database with over 400 evidence-informed strategies that can improve community health. It’s now possible to learn about and navigate the strategies with the assistance of an AI-powered tool called Evi.
County Health Rankings & Roadmaps is debuting the tool with this year’s Annual Data Release. Each strategy provides a comprehensive overview of the program, evidence of effectiveness and examples of implementation. The Evi tool assists in finding and summarizing relevant, helpful information from the WWFH database.
Users can ask the AI assistant questions about specific strategies or issues or choose from prompts in the “Popular Questions” menu.
Examples include:
- What impact does health insurance enrollment support have on disparities in health insurance coverage?
- What strategies can communities use to address homelessness?
- How can school-based health centers improve access to health care for underserved populations?
- What are the benefits of community gardens?
- What does the Scientifically Supported rating mean?
Evi creates answers based on WWFH strategies and other CHR&R documents. It provides links to specific strategies, which include an overview, potential benefits, historical background, and implementation examples.
