Racial healing is key in advancing racial and health equity. Join us on this National Day of Racial Healing as we explore the connection between racial healing and health. During this webinar, Hafizah Omar, assistant director of Living Cities, will introduce us to a curriculum designed to support local governments. We will also hear from Amber Johnson, the equity, inclusion and racial conciliation manager in Charleston, South Carolina. Johnson will share the journey toward racial healing that began in 2015 after nine people were shot and killed at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. We will answer questions, such as: What does racial healing look and feel like? And, who needs to be involved?
