Making the most of CHR&R’s latest data and evidence resources
The U.S. has a unique longevity problem. Life expectancy in the U.S. has declined since 2014 and is now the lowest among high-income countries. Research shows that public health systems, behaviors, and socioeconomic factors alone cannot account for the U.S. disadvantage. Societal rules and power dynamics are the deeper structural causes at the root of lives lost too soon, and why some communities carry a heavier burden. The good news is that we can work together towards solutions that shift power, change the rules, and generate opportunities for everyone to live long and well.
This webinar will guide participants through the latest data and action resources from County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R) to help communities understand what’s driving health and well-being in their county and state, as well as which related strategies work to improve health, equity and longevity.
The webinar will feature several CHR&R guests:
- Dr. Keith Gennuso, Population Health Research team leader, will present findings from a recently produced Data Spotlight on county-level mortality.
- Molly Burdine, data analyst, will preview the refreshed data for about 30 measures anticipated for release by the end of March 2026.
- Naiya Patel, evidence analyst, will share how the audience can identify evidence-informed strategies from our What Works for Health database.
- Molly Neumeyer, user experience architect, will show participants how to easily navigate the program website to view and download resources, including county and state maps, measure-specific trend graphs, and more.
