CHR&R data remain available in uncertain times
In the last week alone, the Trump administration has engaged in a data purge of historic proportions. Federal websites have been dismantled and their web pages and data sets removed, only to be reinstated in some cases. In these uncertain times, County Health Rankings & Roadmaps remains committed to making its data available to the public health community and the public at large on over 80 measures of health.
For more than 15 years, we’ve been helping make sense of public data for nearly every county in the U.S. Today, we continue our work to summarize data related to health and make it free and public. And we continue to explore how power and society’s rules — our policies, laws and culture —shape our health. As we write this, our team is working to update our data and resources for our annual data release, coming this spring.
We feel the importance and urgency of this work now more than ever. Policymakers, community groups, researchers and students rely on credible, up-to-date information to inform decisions, set agendas, learn and enact change toward better health and equity.
Our data is available to the public. Explore our resources and tools to support community-led efforts to diagnose core problems, understand and account for historical context and implement evidence-informed solutions.
As always, we stand in solidarity with our governmental and nongovernmental public health partners, and we reaffirm our dedication to provide data and build community power so that everyone has what they need to thrive.
In support of that long-term vision, our measures of health remain available on our website. The federal data sources included on our website are listed below.
