Getting Started
Health is about more than what happens at the doctor’s office—it is influenced by a range of factors. The places where we live, learn, work, and play; the opportunities we have; and the choices we make all matter to our physical, mental, and social well-being.
Social and economic opportunities, such as good schools, stable jobs, and strong social networks are foundational to living long and well. These opportunities affect our ability to make healthy choices, afford medical care and housing, and manage stress.
