Juneau County Star Times: Juneau County Health Leaders Unite for a Common Cause
Forty people met at the Mauston Park Oasis to discuss the 2010 county health rankings, to network and to renew their commitment to improve.
Juneau County Public Health Officer Barb Theis was emcee for the gathering. She directed the group to view the "Snapshot 2010: Juneau" graph, which highlighted successes and targeted needed areas of improvement.
She said, "Health outcomes show the county ranking at 52 out of 72 counties. [according to the County Health Rankings, a project of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation]" Health factors ranked Juneau County at 66 out of 72 counties.
