The no recent dental visit measure is the percentage of the population two years of age and above that reports that they did not see a dentist in the twelve months prior to being interviewed. Dental hygiene is not only important to maintain for oral health, but it is also related to various other health problems, including cardiovascular health.

This measure is based on data from the Family Health Survey, a statewide random-sample survey of household residents.
