Description:
Our guest, Stephanie Geller, project director for Rhode Island Kids Count (a Roadmaps to Health Community grantee), talked to us about their full day kindergarten/pre-k statewide initiative. She'll talked about why these policies were selected, how the campaign got organized, how they identified & communicated with target decision makers, how they dealt with opponents, how the bill was passed, and the follow up that is being done to see it’s implemented. Some of the challenges Stephanie addressed included lobbying restrictions, competing campaigns, and funding.
