These data sources provide information for communities looking for more local data. These sources provide either unique, local data; more information on demographic breakdowns (e.g., age, sex, race/ethnicity); or data for sub-county geographic units (e.g., cities, zipcodes or school districts).

Massachusetts All Payer Claims Database

The Massachusetts All Payer Claims Database (MA APCD) is the most comprehensive source of health claims data from public and private payers in Massachusetts. With information on the vast majority of Massachusetts residents, the MA APCD promotes transparency, and affords a deep understanding of the Massachusetts health care system.

Massachusetts Cancer Registry

The Massachusetts Cancer Registry collects information on all newly diagnosed cancer cases in the state.

Massachusetts Crime Data

This site provides public access to National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) data, with detailed tables including crime and arrest statistics gathered on selected types of crime by participating law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Massachusetts.

Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education - Statistical Reports

This site has summary statistics on schools and districts, as well as statewide trends, and also includes information on enrollment, school dropouts, plans of high school graduates, and student exclusions, as well as profiles of Massachusetts schools and districts.

Massachusetts is part of the National Tracking Network, created in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to make data on environmental hazards, exposures, and health effects easier to find and use.

Massachusetts Health and Human Services - Population Health Statistics
