These data sources provide information for communities looking for more local data. These sources provide either unique, local data; more information on demographic breakdowns (e.g., age, sex, race/ethnicity); or data for sub-county geographic units (e.g., cities, zipcodes or school districts).

Provides a query system that generates tables and maps showing cancer cases and rates by county.  Users can customize output to show data by gender, race/ethnic group, and cancer site over several years.

This site includes the Arkansas Prehospital Care Annual Report.

Arkansas Department of Health - Health Statistics

This query system allows users to create summary tables of mortality and vital statistics at the county level, with options to select year, gender, age, race, and cause of death.

Arkansas Prevention Needs Assessment Survey

The Arkansas Prevention Needs Assessment Survey is a yearly survey of 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th grade school students in the state of Arkansas. The survey is designed to assess adolescent substance use and related behaviors, and risk and protective factors that predict these behaviors.

Arkansas State Police Highway Safety Office

The Highway Safety Office of the Arkansas State Police coordinates a statewide behavioral highway safety program making effective use of federal and state highway safety funds and other resources to save lives and reduce injuries on the State’s roads. They provide traffic crash statistics reports including information about vehicle and motorcycle accidents in a variety of situations such as alcohol related, weather related, road conditions and time of day for both fatal and non-fatal crashes. These reports also include trending for year and age of driver as well as county and city statistics.
