The 2011 County Health Rankings, measure the overall health of people in nearly every county in all 50 states. The Rankings provide a standard way for counties to see where they are doing well and where they are not so they can make changes to improve health.
Among the topics to be discussed:
- How factors such as tobacco use, obesity, access to healthcare and healthy foods, education, employment, community safety, and air quality affect our health
- How counties measure up within each state in terms of how healthy people are and how long they live
