Come and visit us at the American Public Health Association’s Annual Meeting in Denver, CO. Oct. 29-Nov. 2 at Booth 707 and attend our presentations.

Monday, Oct. 31:

  • Opportunities to Improve: Using County Health Rankings Data to Explore Health Gaps within States (8:30-10:30 a.m.) Elizabeth Pollock, a University of Wisconsin-Madison doctoral candidate in Population Health Sciences and Applied Statistics, and project assistant with the County Health Rankings will discuss the gaps in opportunities and health outcomes that exist county by county and provide information to help identify population needs and opportunities to improve health for all.
  • Local Data Landscape-Mapping: Current Needs, Opportunities, and Efforts to Develop Sub-County Measures of Health (2:30-4:00 pm) Marjory Givens, Deputy Director of Data and Science at County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program, along with partners from the Missouri Hospital Association, Washington University of School of Medicine, and New York State Department of Health, will offer an overview of the sub-county data landscape and discuss the challenges and opportunities with approaches to providing local communities with a more refined health snapshot.
