Sunday, Nov. 1:
An Examination of Contributors to Health in the MS River Delta Region (4:30-5:30 p.m.) Keith Gennuso, Lead Scientist for County Health Rankings and Roadmaps (CHR&R) will identify the key contributors to health outcomes in the Mississippi Delta Region to better understand health disparities.
Collaboration is Key: Infusion of Population Health Principles in Graduate Nursing Education (6:30-8 p.m.) Jennifer Collins of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center will talk about her work with Stephanie Johnson, CHR&R Community Coach, developing partnerships with students to advance their understanding of population science.
Monday, Nov. 2:
Commuting Patterns and Premature Deaths in US Counties (8:30-10 a.m.) Amanda Jovaag, CHR&R’s Data Lead will discuss how commuting patterns have a significant association with premature death.
Tuesday, Nov. 3:
Using the County Health Rankings to Characterize the Distribution of Health Factors within States (10:30-11:30 a.m.) Hyojun Park, a doctoral candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a project assistant with CHR&R, will present information about the substantial differences that exist in health outcomes and the factors that influence health across counties in each state.
Boundary Spanning Leadership and Multi-Sector Partnerships: The Path to Healthy Communities (12:30-2 p.m.) CHR&R Co-Director Julie Willems Van Dijk, along with Abbey Cofsky and Kathryn Wehr of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, will describe the importance of multi-sector partnerships in developing health in all policies approaches.
Wednesday, Nov. 4:
Applying a Disparities Framework to Community Health Improvement (8:30-10 a.m.) Andrea Ducas of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and CHR&R Co-Director Bridget Catlin will explain recent efforts by CHR&R to provide data and tools to help communities with their work to reduce health disparities.
